James Blunt - Album version (3:10)
This song was released in 2010 as track 2 of James Blunt's "Some Kind Of Trouble" album.
Il was also released as the main track of James Blunt's 2011 single.
The credits on both the album and the single mention James Blunt and Stephen Paul Robson as co-writers.
Nik Kershaw is NOT mentioned in the credits.
Yet, many websites identify Nik Kershaw as co-writer of the song.
The main reason is probably because the verses of the song sound a lot like the verses of Nik Kershaw's "The One and Only" song.
Was James Blunt inspired by Nik Kershaw's hit single?
Were parts of Nik Kershaw's song borrowed by James Blunt?
The PRS/MCPS registrations confirm credits to Nik Kershaw (even though not credited on records inlay)
Credits : Stephen Paul Robson, James Blount and Nik Kershaw.

Some websites list Nik Kershaw as a co-composer for the song "You Raise Me Up" recorded by Secret Garden (and many other artists).
Yet, that's incorrect.
The lyrics were written by Brendan Joseph Graham.
The music was written by Rolf Løvland.
Nik Kershaw was NOT involved in the writing or composing of this song.
Note that Nik Kershaw is sometimes credited as writer or co-writer for some Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark songs.
These songs are in fact written or co-written by Stuart Kershaw, member of OMD.
"Let That Be Enough" was released as track 9 on Chesney Hawkes' 2012 "Real Life Love" CD and digital online albums.
A demo version was released as track 11 on CD4 of Chesney Hawkes' 2022 "The Complete Picture Box".
According to PRS database, the song was co-written by Kevin Simm, Chesney Lee Hawkes, Nik Kershaw, Jon Willy Rydningen, Johnny Pedersen, Michael Music Jay.
YET.... The "Complete Picture Box" booklet reveals the credits to both versions of the song belong to:
C. Hawkes / K. Hawkes / Rydningen.
NO mention of Nik Kershaw.
When asked, Chesney Hawkes confirmed that "the mistake seems to be on the PRS database".
He said he'd look into this as soon as possible.
