This song was released as the debut single of the UK singer and actor Chesney Hawkes on January 28th 1991.
It turned out to be a major hit single (7", 12", CD single).
Produced by Kershaw and Alan Shacklock, and recorded and mixed by Gareth Cousins.
Note that the 1991 Chesney Hawkes version is very close to the Nik Kershaw demo version and Nik Kershaw's influence can be heard throughout the song (guitar style, backing vocals, arrangements...).
The song was featured in the UK movie "Buddy's Song" released on March 1st 1991.
It is available as track 1 on both Chesney Hawkes' 1991 "The One And Only" album and 1991 "Buddy's Song" soundtrack album.
Three different music videos were produced.
The soundtrack of the 1991 "Buddy's Song" video clip is the same album version.
